Aaron Copland is one of the most well known American Composers in the Nation. A New York native, Copland is credited for creating the “American Sound” that our nation loves and cherishes to this day. Copland took his talents out of the classical world and branched into the film industry, ballet, writing academic essays, and conducting for the remainder of his life. Copland helped define American Culture throughout his lifetime, and is known as one of the best, most innovative and cultural composers in the world.
